Do I need insurance?

Yes, we are not responsible for any losses incurred during your rental term.  If you have valuables, it is recommended that you obtain renter insurance.

Do you provide the locks?

Yes, we will provide the initial locks upon signing up. (locks are included in the Administrative Fee when you first sign up)

What if I lose the key to my lock?

North Marion Road Storage does not keep any copies of your keys.  If you lose your key, please contact the site manager and we will remove your lock for a $50.00 charge and provide your with a new lock.  Please do not try to remove your own lock,  you will be responsible for any damaged incurred in self removal.

What is a roll up door?

Roll-up doors are the most common door in self-storage.  They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door.  Roll-up doors allow you to maximize the usage of your space.

Can I change my storage unit to a different size after I have already moved in?

Yes, you are able to move to a larger or smaller unit if the size you need is available at our facility.  Your local facility manager will be able to assist you in the transition.

Does my unit have an electrical outlet in the unit?

Our units do not typically have access to electrical power in the units, however there is access to electrical outlets on the exterior of the building in the event you need temporary electrical access.  Please visit with our site manager to gain access.

How do I report any maintenance issues such as a light out, or a gate not opening?

Please report the issue to the site manager immediately.  Please contact our manager at 605-941-8648.

What do I  need to do in order to move out?

We require 30 days written notice before vacating.  We ask that you call your site manager at 605-941-8648 to ensure they know of your move.  On your scheduled move-out day make sure your unit is completely empty, your lock has been removed and the manager has inspected the unit.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

Do you offer the convenience of a long-term lease?

Our units are rented on a month-to-month basis which allows customers the flexibility to rent for whatever time period needed.  Customer with long-term needs may prepay on a yearly basis up to 12 months.

How long after my account is delinquent before my belongings will go to auction?

The length of time for a past-due account to be placed in auction varies by state law. We recommend that you contact the facility manager to discuss your account as soon as possible if your payment is late. North Marion Rd. Storage will provide written notice to your email address or physical address listed on your account, again depending on state law. Additionally, store managers frequently try to contact any customer in default by phone prior to an auction process. As a customer it is your responsibility to make sure we have accurate, up-to-date contact information associated with your account, and to pay your bill on time.

Is my initial monthly storage unit rent guaranteed for as long as I rent my storage unit?

North Marion Rd. Storage works hard to provide a value to our customers through competitive pricing and by maintaining clean, safe, and secure facilities with the best customer service in the industry.  Please keep in mind that your original monthly rate is not guaranteed for the life of your rental with North Marion Rd. Storage.  From time to time, we find it necessary to make adjustments to our customers' rental rates in order to keep up with the rising costs associated with providing top-notch service and a clean, secure facility.
